Beyond Sex, Science, and self poster: DawnHorsePress length: 10:00 date added: July 27, 2011 event date: January 21, 2005 language: English views: 6189; views this month: 9; views this week: 6 In this Adidam Revelation Discourse from January 21, 2005, Adi Da reveals that Liberation cannot ever be achieved through sex, science, or religion! And He makes the astounding assertion, “Realization has nothing to do with the body-mind.”
Watch this DVD for Adi Da's Instruction on True Freedom, which He says is discovered only in the utter transcending of “point of view”, by means of the Transmission of Reality Itself. "The 'self'-contraction, the 'point of view', the 'point-of-view'-machine and what it presumes to be Reality, the illusions of Reality created by 'point of view' — these are the important matters to be understood. The 'you' to which you refer as 'I', the ego-'I', is a 'point-of-view'-machine. It is subject to the illusions of the cosmic apparition, the illusions that 'point of view' itself is subject to — space-time, mass, and so forth."

This talk is from the first occasion in many years in which Avatar Adi Da spoke directly to a gathering of His devotees in California. Questions from devotees about intimate, familial, and social issues are met with Avatar Adi Da's Compassion and Humor, as well as His Liberating Wisdom.
From considering the "seed theme" of His Mummery Book, to describing His mindless and Indivisible State, Avatar Adi Da weaves a masterful tapestry of Instruction and Blessing. He Calls for and Transmits the most profound understanding possible of human life and sacred practice.
The Way Beyond Ego poster: DawnHorsePress length: 08:50 date added: November 7, 2010 language: English listens: 5972; listens this month: 5; listens this week: 1 Excerpt from the 2-CD set, The Way Beyond Ego.
A summary communication of the practice and Grace essential to the real process of Divine Liberation—given in October 2004 and April 2005.
In the Discourses selected for these CDs, Avatar Adi Da leads His listeners through the maze of egoic misinterpretation of real Spiritual practice by articulating and debunking the errors that occur when such practice is engaged from the point of view of egoity (or presumed separateness). Avatar Adi Da clarifies, again and again, that the Way He Offers is not a Way of thought or philosophy, effort or escape, experiences or techniques—rather, Adidam is based solely on the inherent heart-attraction to That Which Is Beyond all conditional states, That Which Is Always Already the Case, That Which Is Perfect Divine Love-Bliss, and Which is Appearing in and as His human Form. In summary, in these Talks, Avatar Adi Da elucidates the essence, and the necessary foundation principles, of the devotional and Spiritual Way of Adidam.tags: egoityAvataric DiscourseCD
In the excerpts from six unique Discourses included on this 2-CD set, Adi Da reveals how scientific materialism has replaced the sacred orientation in life and indoctrinated humankind into limited belief systems, discussing common views about evolution, astronomy versus astrology, ancient religions, the expanding universe, the “language” of mathematics and shape, and more. In addition, He masterfully describes how knowledge is an effort to achieve power over nature, based on the fundamental illusion that there is such a thing as an independent (or “objective”) “point of view”. In this process, Avatar Adi Da calls His listeners to be free of all false authorities, and to consider the Way that perfectly transcends “point of view” itself.tags: scienceAvataric DiscourseCD
Enter Into Unlimited Profundity poster: AdidamRevelationMagazine length: 09:43 date added: August 25, 2010 event date: October 6, 2005 language: English views: 7373; views this month: 19; views this week: 8 In this occasion at The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary from October 6, 2005 (the last time Adi Da spoke formally, in response to a devotee's question about practice), a longtime devotee, Cheech Marreo, who recently has had an automobile accident, asks Avatar Adi Da a question about the role of karma in his life and practice. Adi Da, in turn, points to something even more fundamental than the universal law of cause and effect. He also clarifies that the old saying, "through suffering comes wisdom", is just not true. If it were it so, He asserts with amusement, then everyone would be wise — because everyone suffers. Mere suffering makes no difference, unless there is availability to Reality.
The Divine Is Not the Cause poster: DawnHorsePress length: 10:52 date added: June 13, 2010 event date: October 20, 2004 language: English views: 5347; views this month: 13; views this week: 8 This excerpt is from the Adidam Revelation Discourse of October 20, 2004. In response to a series of questions about self-awareness, the nature of the “ego”, and how the self-contraction is caused, Avatar Adi Da speaks of the self-confinement of human beings (in contrast to non-humans as natural contemplatives), the effort to trace any experience or thought to its Source, and the Divine Reality as the True Condition of all things (not the “cause” of any thing). This Discourse concludes with Avatar Adi Da's confession of the direct and tacit “Point of View” of Divine Realization — the universe as Unconditional Light.
This excerpt is part of the longer DVD, The Divine Is Not The Cause. Subtitles in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Chinese, Japanese, and Hebrew. A CD version is also available.
Cracking the Code of Experience poster: DawnHorsePress length: 09:40 date added: June 13, 2010 event date: October 24, 2004 language: English views: 5021; views this month: 9; views this week: 7 This excerpt is from the Adidam Revelation Discourse of October 24, 2004. A devotee's question about memory and a bicycle accident sparks Avatar Adi Da's Discourse about the nature of the human mechanism. Likening the mind to "cyberspace", Avatar Adi Da describes the "codes" human beings use to interpret perceptions and give apparent meaning to the "game" of life. He also exposes as an illusion the very presumption of being a separate, perceiving self. Adi Da Samraj calls everyone to relinquish the commitment to all presumptions and Awaken to that Realization which is not a state, but a Force that Spiritually Outshines all of illusory existence.
The Quest for the Historical Self poster: DawnHorsePress length: 08:22 date added: June 12, 2010 event date: November 6, 2004 language: English views: 4085; views this month: 8; views this week: 3 This excerpt is from one the Adidam Revelation Discourse of November 6, 2004. Adi Da proposes that all human lifetimes are a “quest for the historical self”. He describes how this search is based on the activity of “self”-contraction — the erroneous presumption of an actual, defined, knowable “self”. His Discourse exposes that neither experience nor memory nor the sensations of the physical body actually define a separate entity. The “I” is a fiction, a lie—and Reality Itself is Self-Evident only when the activity of the “self”-contraction is transcended.

The devotee asking the question of Adi Da was a former student of Zen Buddhism, so in this discourse Adi Da refers to some metaphors that are part of the Zen Buddhism Tradition.
